Diodes' power management categories include both DC-DC converters and LDO regulators, reflecting common practice: a switching converter provides the primary rail, and LDOs locally regulate sensitive loads. Decisions should consider voltage drop, load current, noise budget, thermal dissipation, standby power, and BOM cost.
